What size snap(s) do you suggest I use for the following pads: pantiliner, 8.5 inch pad, 9 inch pad, 10.5 inch pad, and 11.75 inch pad? Thank you so much for offering the pad patterns.
Hi Lisa, thank you for your comment. Size 16 or size 20 snaps are fine for all sizes. If you are making thicker pads (i.e. using thick topping fabrics like Minky, or adding a layer of hidden PUL), then 20 is probably a safer bet. Hope this helps!

First I have to say, you’ve got the best tutorials I’ve found so far. I saw in one of your tutorials that you used bamboo fleece in the core, do you recommend that for all the pads? I’m looking to make something for heavy flows but can’t seem to figure out which core would be best used for that.

Hi Camille, sorry it’s taken a while for me to see your comment. I love bamboo fleece and use it in nearly all my pads, layering up or down as needed (i.e. one layer for a pantiliner, two layers for medium pads, three for heavies, etc). It holds a lot of fluid, so it’s good for heavy flows. Cotton or hemp fleece work really well too though, and are usually less expensive. Hope this helps!
I love bamboo fleece too and have been using up my stash from my cloth diaper days. I have a huge piece that I thought was also bamboo fleece, but it might be hemp fleece. My problem is that it is repelling water, not absorbing when I test it. Any experience with this? I’ve washed it in hot water a couple of times to see if I could get it to absorb. It’s a huge piece and I hate to have to toss it.
